 Hammocks Club Amenities: When you own a home in the Hammocks, the benefits reach well beyond the front door.  You will receive three valuable membership privileges!  First, in the nearby Bald Head Island Club, which allows full access to its widely acclaimed and renowned seaside golf course, croquet greenswards, tennis courts, an Olympic size swimming pool, pro shop, fitness room, member dining rooms, grill and lounge.  Second, you will be a member of the on-site Hammocks Club, a fantastic facility that offers a workout room with exercise equipment, a sauna, outdoor hot tub, heated swimming pool and billiards room.  You will also have access to a computer with DSL Internet Service.  Finally, you will receive membership privileges in the spectacular oceanfront Shoals Club located at the Cape Fear Point.  This newly constructed facility, one of the finest oceanfront clubs on the East Coast, offers elegant dining, heated outdoor swimming pools, fitness rooms, convenient golf cart parking, and direct beach access.

 Island Amenities: Bald Head Island is a beach retreat unlike any other.  Because no bridge connects the island to the mainland, travel to the island is by passenger ferry or private yacht.  Once on the island, transportation is by electric cart, bicycle or foot helping to protect Bald Head Island’s relaxed pace and peaceful way of life.  With its 14 miles of unspoiled beaches, 10,000 acres of marshes and creeks, and 2,000 acres that have been under development since 1983 by the George P.  Location: Bald Head Island is located at the confluence of the Cape Fear River and Atlantic Ocean at the southernmost of the North Carolina Cape Islands.  It is approximately 35 miles south of Wilmington, NC and 60 miles north of Myrtle Beach, SC.  A pleasant 20 minute ferry ride transports you from the ferry terminal at Indigo Plantation and Marina in historic Southport, NC to the 10 acre harbor at Bald Head Island, a distance of 2 nautical miles.  The Hammocks neighborhood is centrally located on the island just a few short minutes from the Bald Head Island Club on the island’s south beach. 

 Club Maintenance Fees: Current HOA fees are $5,828 annually but billed $1,457 quarterly. These all inclusive dues include property taxes and insurance, interior and exterior maintenance and administrative services, housekeeping, landscaping, concierge services, reserve funds for repairs and furniture replacement, and club memberships in the Hammocks Club, Bald Head Island Golf Club, and the oceanfront Shoals Club.

 Management Company: As interests in the Hammocks neighborhood are sold, control of the Hammocks Association will be passed incrementally from the developer to a Board of Directors fully elected by property owners that will establish budgets and association fees on an annual basis.
